He angitūtanga / The opportunity: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of food services at Te Toka Tumai Auckland, including in-hospital patient meals, meals on wheels, catering, and retail outlets. Represent Compass Group NZ and Health New Zealand \ Te Whatu Ora by delivering high-quality services that meet client needs and contractual obligations. Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and performance standards.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
Provide direction and guidance to employees and clients, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with contractual and business KPIs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, attending regular meetings to ensure clear communication and process improvement.
Deliver high-quality services and products in line with contractual and legislative guidelines, conducting weekly ward-based visits and client meetings.
Manage recruitment, selection, and training of staff, ensuring compliance with Compass Group Training Programme and Whanganui DHB policies.
Ensure health and safety compliance, maintaining a safe and secure workplace and adhering to Compass HSEQ systems and procedures.

Previous leadership experience in a food service environment with proven success in managing teams.
Thorough understanding of food hygiene/safety practices and regulations, with strong commercial acumen.
Ability to form productive relationships with clients and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Business or degree qualifications, with knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment principles.
Computer literate, with the ability to use IT systems to maintain efficient operations.
