We're looking for a detail-oriented Precast Formwork Carpenter to join our clients team! If you take pride in precision, quality finishes, and working in a hands-on environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the accurate fabrication and preparation of plywood and steel formwork to ensure high-quality precast concrete panels. Your day-to-day duties will include:
Fabricating plywood formwork to architectural and dimensional specs.
Ensuring all joins are seamless and finishes are smooth.
Coordinating with engineers on steel formwork requirements.
Verifying steel formwork availability and accuracy.
Overseeing deck preparation and layout using shop drawings.
Squaring panels and checking all measurements (±2mm tolerance).
Applying silicone sealant, form release, and retarder (if specified).
Overseeing placement of reinforcing steel cages, chairs, and cast-in items.
Coordinating pre-pour inspections and assisting with concrete pours.
Supervising stripping and cleaning of formwork post-pour.
Completing any other tasks as delegated by the Foreman/Manager, including cross-divisional assignments as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in precast or formwork carpentry.
Ability to read and interpret technical/shop drawings.
Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality control.
Physically fit and capable of handling hands-on, on-site work.
A team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
Bonus If You Have
Experience working with magnetic formwork systems.
Familiarity with concrete placement and finishing techniques.
Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures.
