About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Commercial Analyst to join our team in Auckland, providing vital support to our Facility Management business unit. This role is focused on ensuring optimal financial performance and driving operational efficiencies across our maintenance contracts. The successful candidate will assist in the analysis, reporting, and forecasting of commercial activities, enabling informed decision-making and long-term business success.

Leveraging your exceptional commercial acumen, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare month-end financial analysis and reporting for clients.
  • Review and update client forecasts monthly, including analysis of variances.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis of activity, costs, and revenue across clients.
  • Reconcile charges against contracts and ensure accuracy in client reporting.
  • Analyse month-end activity versus schedules and reconcile revenue and expenses.
  • Support operational leaders by documenting and analysing change requests, including client impact.
  • Review project revenue and costs against forecasts, assisting with margin analysis.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, and review and document processes.


About You

We are open to applicants with a variety of experience levels from a finance background. Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

  • CPA/CA membership.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, or business.
  • A background in commercial analysis, financial analysis, or a related field. Previous experience in the maintenance or facilities management industry is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and manipulate financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • A proactive approach, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to continuous improvement within the business.
