About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi You will be reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Pathways Te Whare Haumaru service. This is a 6 beds crisis respite located in Flat Bush. You will be required to work in pairs on every shift. Referrals are received from the home-based treatment teams – through intake assessments.
This is a full-time position based in Redoubt Road, Flat Bush. You will be working Tuesday – Saturday, 11pm – 7:30am.
Responsibilities include:
Advocate and support people to be well and thrive.
Connect them with resources that support them in living well and assist them in building resilience
Help people connect with their communities, building the relationships that matter most
Foster positive change for a more positive life
Provide medication support for our people
Help your team members with cooking, cleaning
Be a driver for our people – shopping, activities etc.

You will also have:
Current full New Zealand driver’s licence
Current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
Preferred experience in Mental Health or similar
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
