Position Description: Wholesale Coffee Account Manager
Position Title: Account Manager
Reports To: Head of Sales
Location: Auckland and Upper North Island, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview
The Account Manager represents two of New Zealand’s most iconic coffee brands, Vivace and Mojo. This dynamic role involves managing relationships with a diverse portfolio of customers, including independent cafes, multi-site operators, and corporate office accounts. The role requires a self-motivated and personable individual who can foster long-term partnerships while driving sales growth across Auckland and the upper North Island. You will also be well organised, proficient in problem solving and be open to some occasional training sessions. Most of your work would be carried out autonomously but with the support of an amazing wider team. For times off the road you would be based out of a roastery in Mount Eden, Auckland.
This position includes regular travel across the region, with some overnight stays, and comes with a fully maintained company vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Account Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing wholesale customers to ensure satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Manage your own call cycle schedule as well as the training and servicing requirements of your customers.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support.
Identify opportunities to grow sales within the existing customer base through upselling and cross-selling.
New Business Development
Proactively identify and secure new wholesale coffee accounts, targeting independent cafes, multi-site businesses, and corporate clients.
Develop tailored proposals and pricing strategies to meet the needs of prospective customers.

Sales Performance & Reporting
Achieve & exceed sales targets.
Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, including insights on customer trends and market opportunities.

Brand Representation
Represent Vivace and Mojo as premium coffee brands, ensuring all communications and interactions reflect the values and quality of the brand and products.
Organise and attend events, tastings, and promotions to support brand visibility and customer engagement.

Operational Support
Collaborate with the production, logistics, and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to customers.
Provide feedback from customers to the relevant internal teams to support product and service improvements.

Key Measurements of Success
Achievement of sales targets across the assigned territory.
Retention and growth of existing customer accounts.
Acquisition of new wholesale accounts in line with company objectives.
Positive customer feedback and high levels of satisfaction.
Timely and accurate submission of reports and customer insights.

Qualifications & Skills
Full driver’s licence (required).
Proven experience in account management, sales, or customer-facing roles.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust.
Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously.
A passion for coffee and an understanding of the hospitality industry (preferred but not essential).
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
