About the role

You will thrive working at Merivale Retirement Village in Christchurch. Flourishing in our supportive team environment you will take pride in making your place of work 'gleam' with cleanliness.

We have one permanent part time role on offer - Saturday and Sunday - 4 hours each day

Duties Include:

  • Cleaning areas and ensure day to day lists are in place and carried out.
  • Liaise and ensure that residents' laundry is washed and handled in the most appropriate way.
  • Infection control is carried out as per guidelines, instructions and standards.
  • Follow/improve the systems of stock control for cleaning products and linen stock.
  • Ensuring our residents environment is kept the highest standard of cleanliness.


Experience and Skills Required:

  • You will be an exceptional cleaner, wanting to ensure everything is spotless and in its place.
  • Cleaning experience- domestic and/or commercial preferred.
  • Laundry experiences a bonus
  • Safe handling of chemicals training a bonus -but we can provide training.
  • Excellent communication skills & a positive attitude
