Job Description

Do you love creating a space where tamariki feel safe, valued, and excited to learn?

Join our team as a registered early childhood teacher, where relationships are at the heart of everything we do and children are supported and encouraged. As a kaiako with us, you will help shape confident, capable learners in a place filled with aroha and care.

This is a part time role offering 24 hours a week – we are flexible with hours and days, have a chat with us about your ideal schedule!

About us

Picture a place where your little one gets to explore, create, and learn through play and collaboration. In our Reggio Emilia-inspired centre, our Kaiako act as facilitators, guiding children's learning and supporting their interests and ideas. The environment is designed to be sensory-rich, with natural materials and open-ended resources. We love being apart of our community and going on regular excursions to places such as ST Andrews Resthome, Cambridge Library, House of Wonder Vegetable Garden and more!

What we’re looking for:

  • An ECE or Primary teacher qualification and registration as an ECE teacher in New Zealand
  • Genuine care and love for the well-being and development of tamariki
  • A personality that fosters and develops strong relationships with staff and parents/whānau
  • Abundant reserves of enthusiasm and energy
  • Competency in planning, curriculum, and regular and emergent reviews
  • The ability to build and maintain responsive relationships with children and their whānau
  • A creative mind capable of inspiring and igniting curiosity!

As part of the Busy Bees team, you can look forward to receiving:

  • Full Pay Parity!
  • Discounted childcare
  • First aid certification, annual flu vaccines and staff uniforms
  • Full reimbursement for Teacher Registration costs
  • A generous PLD budget where you can choose PLD for your own learning.
  • Comprehensive induction, mentoring and coaching and ongoing opportunities for career growth and personal and professional development

This is an amazing opportunity to inspire young minds and be part of something special. If this sounds like you, apply today by sending your CV and Cover Letter!

Please note: Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
