We are now on the lookout for a Registered Teacher to join our team and inspire our tamariki! As a kaiako with us, you will have the incredible opportunity to inspire and empower our tamariki, enriching their learning experiences and fostering their growth.

This is a full time fixed term role from February 2025 – July 2025.

About us:

Our tamariki and whānau feel a sense of belonging at Busy Bees Greytown, and we welcome new families in, to feel right at home too in our home-style villa. Our teachers live locally, which supports our strong sense of community and comfortable and welcoming environment. Our centre provides nurturing and stimulating environments for young children with its separate nursery and preschool rooms, with a specific infants centre and playground where children are supported to foster trust, develop relationships and explore their world in a safe space with dedicated teachers.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Huge reserves of enthusiasm and energy
  • Competency in planning, curriculum and regular and emergent reviews
  • A personality that builds and develops strong relationships with staff and parents/whānau
  • An ECE or Primary teacher qualification and registration as an ECE teacher in New Zealand
  • A nurturing, caring disposition, and passion for supporting young children to thrive
  • The ability to build and maintain responsive relationships with children and their whānau
  • Excellent communication skills
