Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team in Wellington. What you'll do:

As a Senior Financial Accountant, your role will be pivotal in delivering quality financial advice and services. You will be responsible for providing accurate monthly management reports, keeping abreast of accounting developments, ensuring effective reconciliations are done promptly, maintaining the integrity of ledgers, and driving continuous improvement within the team. Your commitment to these responsibilities will contribute significantly to the overall success of the organisation.

  • Deliver quality financial advice, analysis and services
  • Provide timely and accurate monthly management, board and statutory reporting
  • Maintain technical knowledge and keep abreast of accounting and reporting developments
  • Ensure timely and effective reconciliations are done
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
  • Drive continuous improvement across the team, streamlining accounting policies, financial systems, processes and procedures


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Financial Accountant position brings a wealth of experience and qualifications. You have a tertiary degree in Commerce or Management with a major in Accountancy, along with CA membership or equivalent. Your ability to work under pressure, set priorities and manage tight deadlines sets you apart. Your excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills enable you to build strong relationships. Experience with ERP systems is also essential for this role.
