Our client is a respected, third-generation family business with over 90 years in the transport industry. We're seeking a class 5 driver to distribute general freight throughout the South Island.
In order to be successful for this role, you must have at least 1 years' class 5 driving experience in NZ, within the transport industry and have good reversing skills.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 7:30am-5:00pm (hours may vary)
The starting pay rate for this position is around $30.00 p/h - depending on experience
Duties include:
Driving a class 5 truck (curtain sider or flat deck quad) with road ranger gearbox
Deliveries throughout the South Island (occasional overnight stay)
Must be experienced at tying down loads
Must be physically fit & capable of lifting up to 25kgs
Job Requirements:
Current class 5 driver's licence
Confident Road Ranger driver
Proven driving experience confirmed by two references
Ability to labour - lifting up to 25kgs
Pass a pre-employment drug test
Be trustworthy and have great customer service
