Job Description

We are working with a leading and established law firm in the CBD as they look to grow their property team. The firm promotes a collaborative culture and professional development, that is supported by continuous learning initiatives, mentorship, and access to diverse and challenging work for high calibre client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate varying residential conveyancing and commercial real estate transactions, encompassing sales, purchases, leases and financing agreements;
  • Conduct due diligence investigations to identify potential legal issues or risks associated the transactions;
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, including sale and purchase agreements, lease agreements, and financing agreements;
  • Drafting of documentation relating to private client property transactions with a focus on estates and trusts;
  • Assisting clients with buying, selling, leasing, or transferring property, as well as handling property disputes or negotiations;
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents including Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney documents, Contracting out Agreements, Leases, Trust deeds etc.


To be successful in this role you should have:

  • 2-4 years PQE across property and/or private client matters;
  • Admitted in New Zealand with knowledge of property and commercial law;
  • Take a client focussed approach providing effective legal advice that meets client needs;
  • Commercially astute and client focused; and
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
