Compass Group NZ are looking for a Permanent Full-Time Catering Supervisor to work at our site in Wellington.
The Supervisor - Catering is employed to supervise daily operations and the performance of catering team members. The Supervisor must ensure that all tasks associated with food production, front and back of house services and general support
are performed with due regard for all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations as required. All these tasks must be done in conjunction with the contractual requirements of the Unit.
Minimum of 40 hours a week, during education terms only. You will have normal working hours in accordance with the roster during the term time only. You may be offered additional hours of work during term breaks.
Our operation is 5 days a week, you must be available to work a rotating roster, Monday to Friday.
It would be beneficial if you are available to start immediately.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Oversee team members by supervising, monitoring leading and allocating tasks fairly
- Ensure staff efficiency whilst modelling performance and behaviour
- Assist with training and rostering
- Prepare, cook and present food
- Ensure team can produce meals by having required products, documentation, and allergen advice and dietary information needed to fulfill requirements
- Maintain clean, safe & tidy kitchen operation
- Work in a Safe manner and actively promote Safety culture in your team
- Manage Waste Streams at site
- Manage Drive operational efficiencies and continuous improvement at site
- Record, and ensure your team at site are recording, any incident, near miss, FPA, allergen incidents type events into the incident reporting system
- Deliver food off-site if required to fill any shortfalls in delivery teams
- Ensure delivery vehicle fleet is cleaned, well maintained and compliant
- Ensure vehicles have required certification and licenses to operate on public roads and within the capacity they are
- required
- Ensure Operational Support co-ordinator teams are rosteredefficiently, managing their time according to volumes, and that only people authorised and licensed to operate any site vehicles are doing so
- Conduct route planning activities at site to ensure maximum efficiencies during delivery scheduling.
