Position Overview

Our Institute of Education/Te Kura o Te Mātauranga programmes cover the spectrum of graduate and postgraduate programmes, including five professional education programmes.
We are now seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in an ongoing role based at our Manawatū campus, to support the development and delivery of our Initial Teacher Education Programme (Secondary).
With a salary range of $81,172 – $143,949 (based on skills and experience), this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on future educators while enjoying the benefits of a Tiriti-led, forward-thinking institution. You will play a key role in modelling exemplary teaching practice in face-to-face and digitally enhanced learning environments, as well as building partnerships with schools, education agencies, and teacher networks.
Appointment Criteria
For Lecturer Level:
A relevant doctoral qualification or be enrolled (or prepared to be enrolled) in a doctoral qualification.
For Senior Lecturer Level:
A doctoral qualification.
A proven research publication record.
Additional Requirements:
- A current NZ teacher registration or eligibility for registration. Applications not meeting this criterion will not be considered.
