Class 2 Civil Driver / WTR
Our client is a well-established company in the civil construction industry, working on high-profile infrastructure projects across the Bay of Plenty. We pride ourselves on quality work and a strong team environment, and we’re looking for a reliable and skilled Class 2 Driver with Wheels, Tracks, and Roller (WTR) certification to join our team.
The Role:
As a Class 2 Driver with at least 1 year of civil industry experience, you'll be responsible for operating a variety of heavy vehicles and machinery on-site, including trucks and rollers, as well as moving equipment on wheels and tracks. You will support construction crews by transporting materials, operating machinery, and ensuring the smooth functioning of on-site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class 2 vehicles, including trucks, to transport materials and equipment.
- Operate machinery with wheels, tracks, and rollers in line with WTR certification.
- Assist with general on-site tasks such as ground preparation and material compaction.
- Conduct pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow health, safety, and site regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 Driver’s License.
- Certified in Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers (WTR).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in civil construction or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of safety practices on construction sites.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to quality workmanship.
