Job Description

RealNZ is seeking a proactive and versatile General Hand to support the smooth running of the iconic Walter Peak Experience. If you're a hands-on person who enjoys a variety of tasks and thrives in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across the loading bay and Colonels Homestead, managing rubbish and recycling, and assisting with the collection and stacking of firewood to keep the BBQ area stocked. You'll also play a crucial part in supporting the TSS Earnslaw's operations by catching the lines, assisting with docking and departures, and ensuring the wharf remains clear at all times. As part of our guest services, you'll be welcoming visitors, helping them with directions, and even handing out umbrellas on rainy days to make sure their experience is enjoyable.

Additionally, you'll manage inwards goods and deliveries, keeping accurate records and ensuring stock is correctly stored and rotated to avoid waste. You'll also assist with monthly stocktakes and maintain the highest standards of hygiene in the kitchen and storage areas. Driving duties will include safely operating vehicles for deliveries and collections, while ensuring they are well-maintained and meet safety standards.

What You'll Need:

  • A Full Manual NZ Driver's Licence (essential)
  • Experience with manual handling
  • A clear communicator and strong team player
