Job Description
Lumino The Dental Company - Pukekohe is currently on the lookout for an experienced Dental Assistant to join the team for a 8 Months Fixed - Term starting on the 10th June 2025 until 2nd March 2026.

As one of our Dental Assistants/Receptionist, you will work alongside our highly trained clinicians and other dental professionals to provide excellent patient care and support. You will be tasked with supporting our clinicians during various dental procedures and ensuring best practice standards are upheld and the best patient care is provided. You will also take control of tasks such as sterilisation and infection control, ensuring all instruments and equipment are processed and sterilised following best practice guidelines. Greeting patients and managing the front desk, scheduling appointment and managing patient records and answering phone calls.

This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will be someone who enjoys working closely within a team and providing upstanding customer service.

The hours for the role are below:

  • Monday: 8.30am - 5.15pm
  • Tuesday: 8.30am - 5.15pm
  • Wednesday: 8.30am - 5.15pm
  • Thursday: 8.30am - 5.15pm
  • Friday: 8.30am - 1.15pm

  • Assist clinicians during dental procedures, such as taking X-rays, sterilising instruments, and preparing materials.
  • Greet patients, review their medical history and answer any questions they may have
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for use
  • Stock and order dental supplies


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is highly valued but not essential
  • Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in computer software applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
