Job Description

Our client is in search of a Principal Advisor for their EPMO office based in Wellington. This role offers a salary range of $140,000 to $170,000. The successful candidate will provide strategic advice and leadership to ensure the effective delivery of the organisation’s portfolio of projects and programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a critical role in aligning the portfolio with the organisation’s strategic objectives and ensuring that projects deliver value to stakeholders.

What you'll do:

As a Principal Advisor for the Enterprise Project Management Office, you will be instrumental in providing strategic advice and leadership. Your expertise in portfolio management will ensure alignment with the organisation's strategic objectives. You will develop governance frameworks that provide oversight and accountability for all projects and programmes. Your ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders will be crucial in this role. You will also oversee the monitoring and reporting of portfolio performance while identifying areas for improvement. Leading initiatives to enhance the maturity of the EPMO will be part of your responsibilities as well as providing guidance to project managers and team members.

  • Provide expert advice on portfolio management, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement governance frameworks to ensure oversight and accountability of projects and programmes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, project managers, and external partners.
  • Oversee the monitoring and reporting of portfolio performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the maturity and effectiveness of the EPMO, including process improvements and capability development.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers and other team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
