Mō Te Tūranga - About The Role

At ZEIL, we are revolutionising career development through our AI Suite of Co-Pilot, an advanced AI-driven system designed to enhance job matching, career insights, and professional growth. We are looking for a Data Engineer / AI Engineer to refine and optimise the AI Co-Pilot’s performance, ensuring users receive highly relevant, accurate, and contextual guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and refine AI Co-Pilot responses to enhance accuracy, relevance, and user experience.
  • Test, experiment, and optimise AI-generated outputs based on real user interactions.
  • Develop and fine-tune AI prompts to ensure accurate and contextual responses.
  • Develop and iterate an instruction set for ZEIL’s applications for ingestion.
  • Work with SQL & Python to extract, analyse, and structure data for model improvement.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance the Career Agent’s performance.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to integrate continuous improvements.


Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Python & SQL and comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Background in data engineering, AI, or machine learning and experience with NLP is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in prompt engineering and working with AI-driven platforms.
  • Work with SQL & Python to extract, analyse, and structure data for model improvement.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous optimisation.
