Job Description

About Invisible

Invisible is the operations innovation company transforming how companies are built and run.

We’re a tech-enabled services company providing AI-enabled solutions to our clients. Invisible partners with leading model providers like OpenAI and Cohere to help train the most advanced language models. These partnerships with AI firms provide early access to best-practice AI research and LLMs, enabling efficient automation and optimization of complex processes. We also partner with Fortune 500 companies to automate tasks such as menu management for DoorDash and claims processing for American Family Insurance, significantly improving quality while reducing cost and time to completion.

Customers choose us for our curated pool of on-demand global experts; our flexible orchestration platform that seamlessly blends advanced technology with elite talent; and our outcomes-based pricing. Invisible has 10x’d our revenue in the last two years, is highly profitable, and was recently ranked #3 in Artificial Intelligence on Inc. 5000’s annual list of fastest-growing private companies in America.

Invisible has experienced exponential growth, quadrupling in size year over year for the past three years. At the beginning of 2024, we surpassed an Annualized Revenue Run Rate of $100 million and continue to grow at speed. We operate as a profitable business and own a majority of the company, going against the grain in the venture-backed AI space. We look for like-minded individuals to join us as we aim to grow into the largest services firm in the world that bridges the gap between AI and enterprise success.

About The Role

As SVP Operations (AI), you will be responsible for leading a large client-delivery function within Invisible. Our current operations team has 5,000+ individuals in over 100 geographies around the world. We deliver AI Training, AI Enablement, and Intelligent Operations (“Operations-as-a-service” solutions) to clients across the AI, Marketplaces, Financial Services, Healthcare, and other verticals.

You will lead the continued build-out of the company’s core delivery engine and will be responsible for the design of the team, capacity planning, operations leadership, and the processes to enable continued growth and scale. You will work cross-functionally with our Commercial, Client Service, Marketing, Product, and Technology functions, to set the strategic vision and roadmap to service our clients’ operational needs.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Team Leadership: Manage a team that includes hundreds of full-time managers and thousands of agents, ensuring excellent performance and effective management through layers.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to enable the next phase of growth, balancing commercial and operational needs.
  • Financial Management: Prioritize system improvements and analytical rigor to support continued growth, operational performance, with tighter financial and cost management.
  • Design/Implement Blueprints for Scale: Utilizing data and systems to diagnose and adapt to fast-changing business priorities and challenges. Identifying and implementing standardizations.

What We Need

  • Have a vision for the AI space and AI training within it. You would need to demonstrate a strong understanding of the space if they don’t have this experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in client-delivery operations within high-growth, fast-scaling environments.
  • Strong background in systems analysis and organizational design.
  • Ability to lead through layers and manage complex organizational structures.
  • Experience working in client-facing roles in a consulting or strategic partnership capacity.
  • Experience managing high-performing teams, with a track record of building and maintaining effective leadership systems.
  • High emotional intelligence and strong leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent financial management skills with the ability to implement cost management strategies.
  • Experience with operational standardization, with a focus on identifying and implementing standard processes across large organizations.
  • Advanced degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field, such as an MBA or equivalent.
  • Big plus if you have a technical background or a recent (<10 years old) major in ML/CS at a university.
