Job Description
AFFCO Horotiu is seeking a Service Engineer for their Plant located five minutes north of Hamilton. As a Service Engineer, you are responsible for the day to day running and monitoring of all refrigeration and cooling appliances and related devices based on site, and also researching and investigating continuous improvement opportunities.

As the Service Engineer, your key tasks involve:

  • Daily monitoring of boilers, routine freezer defrosting and testing of water treatment;
  • Ensure all fittings, electrical and seals are in line with business need and performing at acceptable levels;
  • Management of any breakdowns and repair faults in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Routine testing, adjusting and balancing of systems and processes to ensure efficiency;
  • Promoting and complying with Health & Safety practices for themselves and those around them.



Qualifications
The successful candidate will have appropriate qualification/s and experience in Service Engineering; as well as the following:

  • Experience in running a significantly sized cool store;
  • Superior problem solving skills;
  • Exposure to servicing a large manufacturing plant;
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a variety of priorities and demands;
  • Ability to work well in a team environment;
  • A strong commitment to upholding health and safety standards;
  • Availability for a rostered, rotating shift.
