At Compass Group we have partnered with Air New Zealand as one team to create an incomparable lounge experience, we have an exciting opportunity for three Casual Catering Assistants to join our team within our Hamilton Airport Operations. Hours of work are on "as and when" required basis, dependent upon business needs.

This role within the lounge will be responsible for ensuring our highly engaging service culture is translated into outstanding "surprise and delight" moments for our valued customers.

Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for;

  • delivering a professional customer service, providing warm, friendly and welcoming ambiance for our customers
  • basic food preparation and presentation
  • stock control
  • assisting and maintaining general cleaning and food hygiene duties.


He kōrero mōu / About you:

If you're our ideal candidate;

  • You will be hard working with a friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Ideally you will have experience in a similar environment and hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167) or be happy to train for one.
  • Barista experience would be an advantage.
  • You will have superior customer service skills
  • Most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
