Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

Downer hold a long term Asset Management and Facilities Management contract with the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice. This involves the proactive management and delivery to the national portfolio of facilities including 15 prisons, 100 courts and 157 community correctional sites. This contract underpins the provision of availability of facilities to support core Government services.

We are seeking a skilled individual to provide on-site support ensuring compliance with the Resource Management Act (RMA), with a focus on stormwater and groundwater. The role also involves supporting water operations to help meet the New Zealand Drinking Water Standards and support clients in achieving their goals within the capabilities of treatment assets.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

  • Knowledge of environmental/RMA compliance is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of water treatment systems (including water sampling) is desirable.
  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in public interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, with a proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented approach.
  • Computer literate with a strong sense of responsibility and risk awareness.
