About the role

We are seeking an all allrounder handy/Maintenance person to join our team, providing general services to our residents at our lovely Powley Village in Blockhouse Bay, Auckland. You will assist with the overall maintenance and upkeep of our village.

The role is for 8 hours a week. Day of the week is flexible. The 8 hours can be done on 1 day or split over 2 days.

Some of the great things you will be doing:

  • Providing general maintenance services to our residents in our Village.
  • Tasks can include everything from fixing a squeaky door or painting touch ups, to problem solving any kind of maintenance issue that might occur in your own home.
  • Responsible for ensuring Health and Safety standards are met and maintained on site
  • Take responsibility to keep residents (and all stakeholders) up to date and resolve issues within a timely manner.


About you

Previous experience as a general handy person or in grounds maintenance will be highly advantageous.

  • Ability to work autonomously, follow instructions well and be part of a team
  • Strong focus on Health and Safety in every aspect of your work
  • Can do attitude with great judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Customer centric approach - driven to deliver outstanding service to our residents
  • Full clean driver's licence
