We are looking for a proven, well rounded Village Manager to lead the team at our Pohutukawa Landing Village and Care Home in Beachlands, East Auckland. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Village including strategic planning, service delivery, asset and financial management ensuring our village remains lively and ready for the future.

The residents are always at the heart of what we do so your customer focused, engaging, energetic and resilient manner will ensure you are the go-to person for our residents, their families, our friendly staff.

About You
Working for Metlifecare is special in many ways and it will be your charisma, empathy, leadership, respect for other opinions that will enable you to operate the village to its full potential. As a Village Manager, these things will support your application

  • Previous Operational Management experience at a "people" or service-based business with an ability to build meaningful relationships with residents, staff and internal/external customers
  • Experience working in Aged Care will be highly regarded
  • A born leader who is a skilled communicator and adept at navigating through the day to day demands of a busy vibrant village and can develop our dedicated teams
  • Experience in management of business systems and processes
  • Excellent financial acumen, including sales focus and P&L ownership
  • Strategic planning experience to be able to contribute to the big picture, but equally look outside the industry to innovate
  • Risk management to minimize exposure, including H&S and wellbeing management
