At eComX we’ve just completed a large scale operating model review as we accelerate our ambition to create highly personalised, seamless and connected experiences for our customers. Within this context, we’re looking for an eCommerce Fleet Manager here in Aotearoa to spearhead an eCommerce Logistics fleet. Please note, this role is Sunday to Thursday.

As the eCommerce Fleet Manager, you will be accountable for overall fleet management and maintenance, including Compliance, Administration and Health & Safety. You will be charged with successfully leading and managing your eCommerce Fleet & on road safety, through a sustainable delivery model. You'll be customer led in all decisions & develop, foster & grow capability in our last mile team in achieving logistical excellence and “great” customer experiences within our eCommerce Network.

About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

  • Maintaining a compressive asset register of our fleet of which is reported on to assist in strategic decision making.
  • Ensuring fleet compliance of vehicles (COF WOF) for self-drive and validating contractors vehicles are compliant.
  • Repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely manner to prevent low off-road time so delivery schedules are not impacted.
  • Vehicles and truck fridges all kept within service schedule
  • Critical watch on all expenses to avoid cost escalation via monthly reporting from Custom Fleet.
  • Run fleet mileage reports to capture low performing vehicles and either reposition them, chase up vehicles that are off the road or seek answers to why their mileage is low.


About You | Mōu
To succeed in this role you will:

  • 5-7 years transport /logistics operations mgmt role /managing fleet
  • Key to your success in this role will be your previous logistics experience, and experience in transport/freight operations.
  • You'll be able to confidently manage external business partners and service providers, using your excellent communication skills.
  • You have a proven ability to think strategically and tactically, able to demonstrate continuous improvement.
