The Role:
Due to the rapid growth within the South Canterbury region, we now have an exciting opportunity
for a Client Director to work alongside the Timaru team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute
and grow with our dynamic and expanding business. The Client Director is responsible for
onboarding and managing complex, high-value, and corporate-scale transactions. This role requires
a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of financial
strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the onboarding process for high-value clients, ensuring seamless transitions and immediate support.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with high-value clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for client management, aligning with client goals and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Associate Client Directors to tailor solutions and maximize client value.
  • Lead and mentor a relationship team, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.
  • Generate and present accurate and timely reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve client management processes and enhance service delivery.


General Duties:

  • Prioritise workload to ensure high standards and urgency.
  • Support and develop a positive workplace culture.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Manage business resources responsibly.


Skills and Experience:

  • 5-10 years of banking/finance and relationship management experience.
  • Affinity with the agricultural sector and a desire to improve outcomes.
  • Strong client relationship management and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities and experience in developing and executing client management strategies.
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Proficiency in data and analytics for tracking client performance.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Effective interaction and communication with banks, farm business owners, financial controllers, and professionals.
  • Strong interpersonal judgment, engaging, and efficient.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to high-quality service.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drive to succeed within the NZAB business on both personal and team levels.
