Te Tūranga – About the role
Leading a team of Fresh Specialists, the Fresh Foods Operations Manager is a key commercial and strategic leadership role within the Fresh Retail team that is responsible for driving their specialist team to deliver world class retailing in our stores.

To do this you’ll:
· Build and execute clear strategy plans for Fresh to deliver on banner promises
· Actively operate in a strategic and commercially focused manner to manage the growth and return of the category for the business and for the membership
· Foster strong collaboration tied to strategy with the Merchandise team to ensure the product range fulfils the retail strategy and vision at store level
· Ensuring a program of well researched, tested and executed projects that focus on continual improvement and development that delivers for the membership
· Create support functions in the business that create trade tools to the membership that encourages best practice behaviours through clear processes, manuals, systems and training

You will have solid experience and skills in the Fresh category, enabling you to act as the expert, providing relevant advice. Passionate about Fresh, you’ll be naturally curious and up to date with trends so you can challenge norms and develop new initiatives that benefit the membership.

In addition, you’ll also have:
· A strong track record in strategic and people leadership.
· Proven ability to effectively maintain relationships and influence your immediate team, key stakeholders and the senior leadership team.
· Ability to work collaboratively to achieve real results.
· Practical commercial understanding and capability to investigate and base decisions on firm fact.
