Mō te Tūranga | About the Role 
The Specialist, Governance Enablement role is within the Technology and Operations (T&O) division that creates value through the deployment of resilient and innovative technology and data solutions, and delivery of shared enterprise services at scale.  

The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to deploy, optimise and enable compliance with T&O owned frameworks, policies and standards to ensure the effective management of data and technology risk.

With a focus on data governance and effective management of technology risk, you will develop governance processes and supporting tooling that enable a significant level of self-service, and compliance with governance requirements.  You will develop training materials and deliver training to stakeholders across IAG to create awareness and build capability in the relevant governance documents.  In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the effectiveness of the risk management practices within IAG.

This position is a permanent, full-time opportunity and you can be based anywhere in Aotearoa.

Ōu Pūkenga | About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate: 

  • Extensive experience in governance and risk, ideally within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant technology, data, and operational risk regulations.
  • Strong understanding of technology and data risk.
  • Results-oriented mindset coupled with competent written communication skills.
  • Use and awareness of integrated risk management systems, ideally ServiceNow.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and simplify complex topics for a senior audience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, i.e. data, technology, or risk.
