Job Description

Nestled on the picturesque shores of Lake Wakatipu at Walter Peak High Country Farm, the Colonel's Homestead Restaurant is renowned for its breathtaking location and commitment to fresh, local, and seasonal produce. We're on the lookout for a talented Chef de Partie who shares our passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.

As a Chef de Partie, you'll play a key role in leading kitchen staff and overseeing your designated area of production, ensuring every dish reflects the high standards we're known for.



In this role, you will:

  • Support the daily operations of the kitchen with efficiency
  • Prepare dishes showcasing a variety of cooking techniques
  • Manage stock controls and uphold food safety standards
  • Contribute to menu improvements and planning when needed



We're looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 1 year as a chef in a commercial kitchen
  • Pastry experience would be an advantage
  • Brings a positive, enthusiastic attitude
  • Possesses excellent communication skills and thrives in a team environment
