What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Use your expert knowledge of Atlassian best practice to lead standardisation, adoption and training for Jira and confluence.
- Lead strategic planning tool initiatives, own and deliver a roadmap aligned to BNZ strategic objectives.
- Manage key suppliers, optimise license utilisation and software costs, ensure relationships, contracts and performance of BNZ planning tool suppliers.
- Support senior leaders and stakeholders uplift planning tool fundamentals, ways of working and identify standardisation opportunities.
- Adapt, configure and extend capability and use of planning tools to continually meet BNZ needs in a distributed delivery model.

What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
You will be establishing best practices and standardisation from the ground up, across a complex and diverse business. You will be instrumental in influencing senior leaders to drive standardised ways of working, introduce governance and uplift use of planning tools (Jira and Confluence) across BNZ and our partners.
What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?
You will need to navigate a complex environment, whilst driving confronting conversations with technology leaders and their teams on that may impact ways of working.
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this tūranga?
We need a leader and influencer with expert industry knowledge of Atlassian suite products (Jira and confluence). The successful candidate will have proven experience leading the establishment of standardised ways of working for planning tools in a large enterprise.
What specific tech skills are required to be successful?
- Expert knowledge of enterprise planning tools (Jira and Confluence), administration and best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps and distributed delivery models with Tech Partners & suppliers.
- Data driven and analytical, proven ability to define and measure key metrics and benefits.
- Strong financial and commercial experience developing business cases, SOWs and forecasts.
