Mō Te Tūranga - About The Role
Are you ready to elevate software quality to new heights? Join us as an Intermediate Test Analyst on a 9-month maternity cover contract and play a vital role in delivering world-class software experiences.

You’ll collaborate with brilliant minds, diving deep into our projects to craft and execute comprehensive test strategies. Your knack for uncovering intricate bugs and optimising system performance will ensure our users enjoy seamless, flawless experiences every time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with developers to test our products and deliver critical feedback that drives improvements.
  • Lead testing across the software development lifecycle, ensuring excellence at every step.
  • Perform hands-on testing for mobile apps and web applications, sharing insights with the team through detailed defect reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and refine manual and automated test plans, suites, and scripts.
  • Define and execute performance and non-functional testing strategies.
  • Drive Agile and QA best practices, adopting cutting-edge tools and techniques.
  • Prioritise issue feeds from internal and external sources to maintain quality standards.
  • Actively enhance:
  • Defect Detection Rate – finding bugs before users do.
  • Defect Escape Rate – minimising issues post-release.
  • Test Coverage – ensuring every corner of the application is thoroughly tested.


Key Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on software testing experience and deep understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in testing mobile apps, APIs, and complex web solutions.
  • A mix of independence and collaborative spirit.
  • Nice-to-Have: Proficiency in SQL (Postgres).
  • Expertise with manual testing and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman, JMeter).
  • Experience with non-functional testing, including performance and security.
  • Knowledge of mobile automation (Appium, XCUITest, Espresso).
