About the role
This stunning boutique hotel is looking for a passionate Demi Chef to be a reliable support for our tight-knitted Kitchen Team.
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for the full culinary duties in your designated section.
Key Responsibilities
Follow procedures as instructed by senior chefs Follow recipes and service standards Be well organised, following the daily schedule and tasks at hand Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene Ensure the kitchen is kept clean during and after each shift
Skills and Requirements:
Minimum 2 year's experience as a Commis Chef or equivalent Food Safety qualifications and NZQA Cookery Level 3 or above are preferred Physically fit and able to stand for the duration of a shift (minimum 8 hours) Ability to multi-task and work efficiently with a positive attitude Handle pressure calmly and professionally Good communication skills and be able to work in a team A high level of personal cleanliness Hold NZ citizenship, permanent residency or a current valid work visa
