Job Description: Our client in Christchurch is looking for a dedicated Stores Assistant with forklift certification and experience, to work on a short term project with them.
About the role: Duties and responsibilities could include, but not be limited to:
Operating a forklift safely and efficiently (valid certification required).
Picking and packing orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
Manual lifting up to 20kg.
Managing and maintaining accurate records in the warehouse.
Performing stock checks and reporting on inventory levels.
Replenishing shelves and restocking as needed.
Keeping the yard and warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
Assisting with stock takes, order picking, and unloading containers.
Reading, understanding, and working with stock codes and quantities.
Completing and maintaining all relevant warehouse documentation.
About You:
Team Player with great attention to detail
Well presented, well spoken and customer focussed
Valid forklift certification and experience would be ideal
Warehousing and stock control experience
Data capturing
Physically fit, able to be on your feet most of the day and do manual tasks
Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Drug free
Clean criminal record
Committed and taking pride in your work
