About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi Starting 14 January 2025 this is a 40 hour a week role working Tuesday - Saturday 8.00am – 4.30pm in or Community team, based in Birmingham Drive, Christchurch.
As a Support Worker your responsibilities include:
Supporting with budgeting and independent living
Advocate and support people to be well and thrive.
Attend appointments and connect them with resources that support them in living well and assist them in building resilience.
Help people connect with their communities, building the relationships that matter most.
Foster positive change for a more positive life.
Provide medication support for our people.
Provide support with household management.
Managing a caseload and all reporting requirements.
Whatever it takes - cleaning, cooking, gardening or helping with everyday household tasks.
You | Mōu You must have previous experience working in a community environment and mental health and addictions sector. You must hold the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised Level 4 equivalent qualification. Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one within 2 months of starting. You must have excellent time management and record keeping skills.
