Dispatcher
As a dispatcher, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and coordination of our operations. This includes scheduling and coordination of trucks to efficiently transport freight and manage time-sensitive container movement. If you’re an existing dispatcher seeking a change of scenery or someone with a background in supply chain management, this could be the career move you’ve been waiting for.
It is a hands-on role so previous experience in the transport industry is a must. The successful applicant will be responsible for the scheduling and dispatch of flat deck and containers all over New Zealand. Along with ensuring efficient use of resources by managing driver’s workload and allocating daily jobs.
Skills and Experience:
- Oversee driver and fleet compliance, including logbook checks
- Schedule and monitor fleet maintenance
- Coordinate truck scheduling and fleet utilisation
- Excellent planning and orginisational skills to meet customer and company demands
- Strong geographical knowledge of the North and South Island
- Manage fleet permit compliance and applications
- Be health and safety focused, with the ability to role model safe working practices
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
- Will be require to undergo all relevant pre employment checks
- Flexibility to work late and alternate weekends if required
