Job Description

Maintenance Fitter

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance department in the timber industry based in Te Puke.

  • The position is responsible for maintenance of mechanically functioning equipment and project planning and implementation. You will oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment.
  • Interpret drawings and execute project plans
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
  • Restoring, repairing, rebuilding or replacing faulty components and parts
  • Complete repairs and perform scheduled maintenance
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust
  • Ensure health and safety standards are always adhere to


Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering (Level 4)
  • 4+ years related experience and / or training in mechanical engineering
  • Good knowledge of MS office products
  • Exposure to Dynastar software or similar
  • This position is on a rotating day / night shift roster, Monday to Friday, with rotating on call weekends.
