Intro

  • The ultimate responsibility of this role is to ensure the well being and safety of the students in your particular boarding house
  • Living away from home is a very exciting time for these students but also at times they will need someone they feel comfortable turning to for advice or help eg general support, managing their health needs/liasing with the Medical Centre, attending meetings when required etc
  • You will liaise and work alongside the Housemaster, teachers, parents and house staff (no staff report to this person)
  • Apart from pastoral care you will also be involved with Health & Safety, Property management, sorting/folding laundry, administration, responding to parent requests, House activities, organising travel, assiting in planning of House social functions, and PD etc



Duty hours:

  • Term time only
  • You are not required to be available during school hours per se but during mornings before school starts, just before the end of the school day, evenings and occasional Saturday mornings
  • Monday to Friday 6.45am - 8.30am, 2pm - late afternoons, 8.45pm - 10.30/10.45pm
  • Saturday (occasional mornings)

  • You will likely have an existing educational related background

  • The role requires someone to have ideally a current First Aid Certificate (or in the process of getting)
  • A clean full driver's license and Health & Safety experience
