BestStart Te Aroha is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Registered Teacher to join our passionate, tight-knit team. Our focus is to provide quality education to the children in our community.

At BestStart Onslow Road, we nurture every child's potential! We embrace the vision of "Ma te huruhuru ka rere te manu" – adorning each child with feathers so they may soar. Our curriculum integrates elements of Reggio Emilia and Montessori approaches, fostering curiosity and independence.

This is a permanent fulltime position working 40 hours per week.

Role requirements:

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence.

We are looking for the following:

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher registration/certification
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
