About the opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi
We are looking for a dynamic Civil Engineering Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our civil engineering infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to provide expert guidance and strategic direction for the management and development of Fonterra’s civil engineering assets, both existing and new.
As the Civil Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to industry standards, safeguarding the integrity and sustainability of our infrastructure. Your initiatives will drive operational efficiency and align with Fonterra’s unwavering commitment to quality and safety in all engineering practices.
Working closely with our regions and business units, you will be at the forefront driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
You will be responsible for:
- Coaching our stakeholder base to drive sustainable transformation.
- The integration of strategy into the performance improvement pipelines.
- Working with regional leadership and Business Unit leadership to establish new areas to unlock end to end value.
- Partner with various areas of the business to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
This role will be based at in Hamilton and report to the Head of Technical Engineering, within our Global Engineering Team. The nature of this role will require you to be out and about visiting our sites for operational matters and capital projects at least once a week, so we need someone who has the flexibility to allow for this.
About you | Moe koe
This is not your standard Civil Engineering role, with a wide variety of assets in our portfolio your experience in Asset ownership, together with a broad engineering experience working with New Zealand standards and legislation will set you up for success in this role.
Key Attributes:
- Minimum of Bachelor of Engineer Degree or equivalent.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) – Engineering New Zealand (preferred).
- Substantial civil engineering management infrastructure experience in an asset owner environment.
- Over 15 years experience in Heavy civils/Buildings and or Industrial Engineering, Construction management.
- Experience managing engineering change and remediation.
- Experience in leading, managing and developing internal teams, and working with external consultants and contractors to achieve strategies and goals.
