About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to grow your career as a Line Mechanic within our team based in Matamata. You will be responsible for the provision of quality service and workmanship in the areas of construction, maintenance and fault diagnosis/rectification of all network equipment and installations.You will also be responsible for identifying, and implementing risk control measures to assigned work tasks, in order to provide a safe work environment.



Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

It is essential that you are an experienced Distribution Line Mechanic with knowledge of the power industry and can offer the following:

Essential

  • Relevant EWRB Line Mechanic Registration and current practising licence
  • NZQF Level 4 qualification in Electricity distribution
  • Current Class 1 driver’s licence (car)
  • Sound knowledge of the Safety Manual Electricity Industry (SMEI) and Safe practices for Low Voltage Electrical Work


Desirable

  • Class 2 licence
  • 2 Years Post Qualification experience
  • Faults Experience
  • Powerco competencies
