Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Concrete Placing Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in placing, levelling, and finishing concrete for various construction projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the placement, spreading, and levelling of concrete.
Operate hand and power tools such as trowels, vibrators, and screeds.
Ensure concrete surfaces are smooth, even, and properly finished.
Work closely with supervisors, site managers, and other crew members.
Follow all health and safety regulations on-site.
Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling.
Identify and report any issues related to concrete quality or site conditions.
Key Skills & Requirements:
Experience in concrete placing, finishing, or general construction is an advantage.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and concrete finishing equipment.
Physically fit and able to handle manual labour in various weather conditions.
Knowledge of different concrete finishes (e.g., broom, smooth, stamped).
Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions.
Full Class 1 drivers' licence (minimum requirement)
NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
