Job Description
Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We are seeking an Asphalt Plant Foreman to join our team in Dunedin. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in plant operations, safety, and business development to work alongside our experienced Asphalt Plant Supervisor and progress towards becoming a Plant Supervisor in the asphalt industry.
This is a full-time, permanent position that will require overtime or weekend shifts occasionally.

As an Asphalt Plant Foreperson , you will have a ‘can do’ attitude and a proactive outlook combined with an ability to work within a team.
You’ll also bring:
- Previous experience in manufacturing would be high regarded, preferably in asphalt production, chemical, or heavy industry.
- A degree or thorough understanding in Mechanical or Electrical systems would be highly regarded.
- An uncompromising focus and commitment to safety and environmental management, with experience in hazard identification and risk management.
- Ability to work closely with the plant supervisor and regional manager, with a goal to eventually transition into a Plant Supervisor role
- Strong analytical and problem – solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
