Job Description
Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role
As a Clinical Nurse Lead, you’ll play a crucial role in advancing cervical screening services across Aotearoa. With the recent introduction of HPV testing and the implementation of a new Cervical Screening Register, your mission is clear: to provide compassionate, accurate, and timely support to eligible individuals. This includes ensuring that under-screened populations, particularly Māori and Pacific communities, have equitable access to screening.

  • Provide clinical guidance related to Cervical Screening Standards and HPV Guidelines while ensuring consistent, accurate and appropriate advice for service users
  • Engage with General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Colposcopists and other Clinicians in a timely manner
  • Comply with and work within the Nursing Council scope of practice while providing consistent and accurate advice

Qualifications
Mōu ake | About you

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse with current practising certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant senior nursing experience
  • Demonstrated experience in an advisory role desired
  • Provide effective, clinically appropriate and supportive clinical services to service users
  • Able to support colleagues in a positive and effective way
  • When required, feels confident in de-escalating and debriefing frontline teams and Service Users
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti O Waitangi and a commitment to increasing equity for Māori Tangata Whai Ora
  • Whakarongorau Aotearoa acknowledges Mana Māori and mātauranga Māori as a professional skill set
