Company: Our Napier-based client is New Zealand's leading and largest supplier of building materials and hardware. They offer a diverse range of products, including concrete, paint, plasterboard, and they also manufacture frames and trusses.
The Role : We are seeking an exceptional Storeperson for our Napier-based client. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to cultivate strong relationships with customers and engage with the projects they are involved in. As a Storeperson, you will deliver outstanding customer service to our clients and customers, operate a forklift for loading and unloading trucks while adhering to safety regulations and company policies, and perform general storeman duties. You will also collaborate closely with suppliers; therefore, prior experience in retail or the trade sector would be beneficial, although comprehensive training will be provided. This role offers the potential for permanent placement for the right candidate.
Payrate: $26.00 p/h
Days & Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills and Attributes:
An interest or experience in the building industry would be an advantage.
Ability to execute duties while upholding health and safety standards.
Full Class 1 and Forklift licenses, with F endorsement required.
Confident forklift operator with prior experience in a similar role.
Strong commitment to customer service and going the extra mile.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Clear criminal history check.
