About us
Air Mc Ltd is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated Air Conditioning & Refrigeration company.
Due to continued growth within the service department Air Mc are currently looking to add to the service team. We require an experienced Service Technician who has a wide variety of skills which will be used in the Commercial sector.
Air Mc provides service support to many areas of the industry so no two days will be the same. For this role you should be experienced in all aspects of Commercial Refrigeration & Air Conditioning systems, training will be provided and we are always happy to invest time by sending our team to training sessions to upskill in New Zealand & Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out periodic service & maintenance work on all equipment
Troubleshooting, fault finding and repairs
Installation and commission of newly installed equipment
Preparing fault report, communication and sourcing parts
Able to handle on site jobs independently
Provide leads back to the sales/office support team on client enquiries for replacement or new equipment requests
Able to identify and provide estimates for onsite job repairs/installation.
Education & Experience:
Trade certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or alternatively a minimum of 3 years in an HVAC service-related position
Experience with Controls, BMS systems as well as standalone Heat Pumps & Ventilation Systems commonly found in our industry
Experience with Chilled and Heating water systems & boilers would be an advantage
Current EST license or the ability to obtain one
Working at Height Safety Training (harnesses) and EWP qualifications is desirable but not essential
Proven / established experience in the HVAC industry will be highly regarded
Knowledge of and commitment to Health & Safety
Full Driver's license (NZ or International).

You will be tech savvy and diligent in completing all paperwork's on time including but not limited to job sheets, report findings, timesheets, etc and be available to work on weekend and on standbys during public holidays
Be reliable, consistent, honest & committed to providing quality workmanship and be willing to take "Ownership" of your sites
Be a team player & be prepared to provide training to apprentices
