The role and its duties

  • Assist in growing the service team across 4 departments in the after sales division
  • Team support - assist the Service Manager in overseeing service staff, providing training to Service Advisors, and ensuring the team meets performance targets
  • Scheduling - coordinate service appointments and manage workflow to optimise efficiency
  • Quality control - monitor repair and maintenance work to ensure high standards and adherence to manufacturer guideline
  • Administrative tasks - handle documentation, and assisting in overseeing process warranty claims and service records
  • Service sales support - encourage the promotion of additional services and products to customers, contributing to revenue goals
  • Assisting the Service Manager with safety compliance
  • Reporting - prepare and analyse service performance reports for management review where required
  • Customer service - ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by managing service inquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Stepping up in the absence of the Service Manager to assist in ensuring customer retention and dealing with complaints where needed
  • Overseeing service administration staff
  • Solving service department problems where required



The background sought
The role would ideally suit an experienced Service Advisor looking to step up to the next level, or an experienced Assistant Service Manager. While it would be preferable to employ a person with a relevant mechanical trade qualification coupled with front line experience, we would also consider those with a strong mechanical understanding and the communication and people skills required.

Solid organisational skills and the ability to navigate service software such as Dealer Management systems is also required.

You will possess good leadership skills to motivate and encourage your team alongside Service and Aftersales Managers.
