What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga

As a Senior Test Engineer (Integration) within our DevOps team, you'll be the linchpin ensuring our websites and mobile applications function flawlessly across integrated systems. You'll design, implement, and execute comprehensive integration testing strategies, with a focus on API testing and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive integration test plans and strategies.
• Design and execute test scenarios for system, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Automate integration tests using tools like Postman and Playwright.
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues and document defects.
• Ensure data consistency and integrity across integrated systems.
• Conduct performance and reliability testing for integrated services.
• Collaborate with project teams, developers, and stakeholders to define integration requirements.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide mentorship to junior testers.
• Conduct post-incident reviews (PIRs) and ensure API security and compliance.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and optimisation.

About You | Mōu

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Systems, Software/Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in integration, system, and API testing.
• Strong proficiency in REST and SOAP API testing (Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured, Playwright).
• Knowledge of SQL and databases for data validation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of DevOps practices and principles.
• Experience in performance and security testing (a plus).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
