Job Description

Do you have a current TMO license & committed to the safety of workers, drivers and pedestrians? Tradestaff is currently on the lookout for experienced & safety conscious Traffic Operatives to join our team here in Hawkes Bay!

Responsibilities:

  • Directing and controlling traffic to minimize congestion and ensure safety via the classic lollipop and other means
  • Setting up and maintaining appropriate signage, barriers and cones to guide drivers and protect work areas
  • Providing information and directions to the public as needed
  • Coordinating and communicating with other traffic management operatives and workers for continuous safety


Requirements:

  • Full Class 1 License AND your own mode of transport (restricted licensee holders will be considered based on experience)
  • Class 2 license is desirable, but not essential
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Traffic Management experience
  • TC Qualification (level 1 minimum)
  • A safety-first attitude with excellent communication skills
  • A team player with good problem-solving skills
