The Company

Is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy has an opening due to business demand for an Intermediate Civil Engineer with 12D and land development experience for their successful, growing Queenstown business.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with the Directors and Senior Engineers to build your skills and experience with an industry leader. Join their hard-working, fun-loving team of experienced land development professionals.

The company offers land development consultancy services including professional development advice, project management, civil engineering, surveying, and planning. Their projects range from large scale master-planned communities in greenfield locations, to complex infill developments in brownfields sites, right down to smaller residential and lifestyle subdivisions.

The Role

  • Using 12d to carry out civil engineering design and preparation of drawings
  • Ensure technical quality and completion on schedule and within budget
  • Preparation of detailed design drawings and submission of Engineering Applications.
  • Attend to Requests for Information & 224c RFI’s
  • Liaison with client & contractor representatives
  • Plan the implementation of projects, co-ordinate and control specific discipline or contracts within projects
  • Organise and attend project meetings
  • Undertake contract administration duties of civil engineering projects as required
  • Prepare schedules, contract documentation, resource consents and other documents


About You

  • Bachelor of Engineering or NZCE
  • Land development and subdivision design experience
  • Minimum 3 years civil engineering industry experience
  • Strong 12D and BricsCAD skills/experience
  • Good client relationship skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Organised and proactive
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal
  • Genuine “Can Do” attitude and willingness to learn
