Job Description

We’re seeking a highly skilled and versatile Camera Operator / Production Specialist to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for visual storytelling and a strong technical background in camera operation, video editing, and on-set production. You will play a key role in capturing, enhancing, and delivering high-quality video content for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Sony mirrorless cameras and assist with cinema-grade equipment, including RED, ARRI, and Sony Venice systems.
  • Work closely with production teams in roles such as Camera Assistant, Focus Puller, Video Assist, and Gaffer.
  • Execute professional video editing with DaVinci Resolve Studio, ensuring content meets high technical and creative standards.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical production gear, including gimbals, cameras, and lighting equipment.
  • Operate drone cameras as required (note: a NZ drone license is advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Collaborate with directors, lighting crews, and other production specialists to deliver visually engaging and technically sound content.


Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience operating and assisting with mirrorless cameras.
  • Senior/Intermediate knowledge and hands-on experience with cinema cameras (RED, ARRI, Sony Venice).
  • Proficient in video editing with DaVinci Resolve Studio.
  • Skilled in equipment maintenance and repairs, including gimbals, cameras, and lighting systems.
  • Extensive experience in on-set production roles, including Camera Assistant, Focus Puller, and Gaffer.
  • Drone operation experience (NZ drone license a plus).
  • A strong eye for detail, composition, and lighting to deliver exceptional visual quality.
